Yelena Bryksenkova

Yelena Bryksenkova was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia, grew up in the American Midwest, and studied illustration at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore (BFA, 2010) and the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, Czech Republic. Now she lives in Baie Saint Paul, a small French-Canadian town known for its rich artistic history, and work as a freelance illustrator and fine artist. Her acrylic gouache paintings are inspired by the love of home and the comfort of everyday objects, as well as more magical, mysterious and melancholy themes.
