Mamus Esiebo

Mamus Esiebo, was born in Lagos, Nigeria, is a self-taught visual artist. Esiebo’s visual art is influenced by the simplicity of life, reflecting his experiences in the bustling city of Lagos, Nigeria. He draws inspiration from the challenges of work-life balance, family expectations, and the quest for self-identity which transforms into idyllic settings. His artwork places subjects in scenes that portray a harmonious balance of vital energy. Notably, he employs his distinctive use of pin stripes and bold colors to depict clothing on his figures and various objects within the scenes.
Mamus Esiebo has exhibited his artwork in Nigeria and abroad, including countries like the USA, UK, Germany, Hong Kong and Jamaica. In 2022 his work was featured in African Contemporary Auction Sale with Artcurial on a Avenue Montaigne in Paris, France, and his art is included in the collection of The Fondation Gandur Pour L’ Art in Geneva, Switzerland.
