Still New York, A Forced Slumber in the City that Never Sleeps
Signed by the artist
In March 2020 Logan Hicks began taking pictures of New York as the pandemic started. For that summer he continued to document the city as street level life came to a crawl. streets emptied. business closed. tourism died.
The pandemic was an unprecedented time for the city of New York. Lives were lost and the city was empty. I made every attempt to document the city during this dormant state.
“Still New York” has over 100 photos of New York with commentary from Logan Hicks, and writing from Lori Zimmer (author of Art Hiding in New York)
