Lindsey Carr

Linsey Carr an artist living and working on the South West coast of Scotland. Many of her subjects however tend to be from more exotic locations, my wanderlust is expressed through paint rather than travel.

All of the work is strongly influenced by European and Chinese natural history paintings and their subjects.  She sometimes use these motifs to examine issues surrounding Nature Vs Nurture and what it is to be an ‘Animal’.

The paintings are created to resemble antique decorative artifacts, using paint techniques to age the paper and tend to use antique frames.
