In BOTH / AND, Philadelphia-based illustrator Anuj Shrestha hones his minimalist storytelling with a series of 2-panel studies of visual and conceptual symmetry, narrowing his focus from his previous work, New Fears.

BOTH / AND features 20 arresting pages of doomer diptychs exploring the absurdity and beauty of the present moment - at once alarming and sad, wry and amusing.

Studies I — V received a Gold Medal for non-commissioned work at the 64th annual Society of Illustrators exhibition (2021) and Studies III and IV will be featured in the forthcoming American Illustration 41 annual in 2022.
