These two works relate to my childhood growing up in rural New England, being raised in a deeply religious and superstitious family. I didn't have many friends and was quite lonely, but because of growing up in such a spiritual environment, I often had vivid visions and dreams about the afterlife and a heightened sense of beauty around me.
